JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF NORTH CALIFORNIA

March 9th, 2020

On Monday, March 9th, Financial Intelligence for Teens volunteered for Junior Achievement of Northern California, their partnered organization, in the March outreach event located in Forest Hill Elementary. Not only was it a great teaching experience for the FIT members, but FIT was also able to spread financial literacy to elementary schoolers!

Joyce, Jasper, Caleb, Alexandria, and Anna taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade classes through multiple games and activities on: the importance of making financial choices and the results of them; the roles of jobs and businesses and their contributions to families and communities; how money flows in the economy and the ideals of taxes. Some activities included board games on financial decisions and a Guess Who game on different community professions.
